My new children's non-fiction book about festivals around the world was published in January 2014. 48 colorfully illustrated pages with a total of 7 chapters on different festivals around the world.
The heart of each chapter is the double-page illustration that visualizes the country's festival. Here you can see the New Year in China.
From Easter in Ethiopia to Hanukkah in Israel and the Chinese New Year, this book invites children to discover seven unique, joyful and thought-provoking festivals from different parts of the world. Beginning with a brief introduction to the different countries, it gives children a lively understanding of the diverse traditions and lifestyles of both their own culture and others. It guides them through the preparations up to the festive day itself, illustrating the characteristic customs and rituals.
Each chapter begins with a lavishly illustrated map showing key facts, animals and places of interest.
Small chapter vignettes highlight various information about the customs of the different countries.
